The Grand Prix, hosted by the Automobile Club of France, roared to life in Dieppe, the closest seaside retreat to Paris. Over two grueling days, 58 drivers pushed their machines to the limit, covering an astonishing 770 kilometers per day in pursuit of victory. Yet, the sheer endurance of the race takes a backseat to the exhilaration of speed—captured here in a vivid scene of a scarlet roadster, nearly airborne, hurtling along the coast. The force of its passage is so fierce that it sends a female spectator and her dog reeling in its wake.
